We are based in Lithuania and also serve clients in the United Kingdom. We handle personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), the UK GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, where they apply.

What we collect

  • When you contact us by email or telephone: your name, contact details, business name and anything you choose to tell us.
  • When you browse the site: technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and referring site, collected by our website platform and, with your consent, analytics cookies.
  • Client relationships: business contact details of the people we work with at client businesses.

This website has no contact form. We don't knowingly collect special category data, and the site isn't aimed at children.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

  • Replying to enquiries and preparing proposals: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries.
  • Delivering services to clients: performance of a contract.
  • Running and securing the website: our legitimate interests.
  • Analytics (understanding how the site is used): your consent, given through the cookie banner.
  • Accounting, tax and legal records: legal obligation.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Cookies and analytics

The site runs on Squarespace, which sets strictly necessary cookies to deliver and secure the website. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies (for example Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics 4, which may be set up through Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the cookie banner, change your choice at any time, and block cookies in your browser settings.

Who we share it with

We share data only as needed, with service providers that act on our behalf, including:

  • Squarespace: website hosting.
  • Google: analytics, Tag Manager, and email and productivity tools.
  • Our email and IT providers, and our accountants and professional advisers.
  • Trusted Skill-as-a-Service partners, where needed to deliver a project you have asked for, under confidentiality and data processing terms.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

International transfers

Some of our providers, such as Squarespace and Google, may process data outside the UK and EEA, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or decisions (including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable) or standard contractual clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless it leads to a client relationship. We keep client records for the length of the relationship plus the period required for tax and legal purposes, typically 6 years under Lithuanian accounting rules. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in our analytics tools, for example 14 months in GA4.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email hello@digitalops.xyz. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or, in Lithuania, the State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt).

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and secure, reputable service providers.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
